Every spring when we change the time, I find myself digging out an old, ugly eye mask because it just gets so light in my bedroom that I wake up waayyyy too early. Even at the weekend. So when I started looking for the ratty, old sleep mask a few weeks ago, I asked myself: Why? Why am I still wearing that horrible thing? Why don’t I just make myself something cute with the vintage and retro fabrics in my collection?
So I went into the studio and did just that. And while I was at it, I made a few extra for you.
It took me longer than expected to design the perfect shape, fit and weight but I finally suceeded – yay! I use comfy cotton fabrics that keep the shape nicely, I line them with batting to keep them soft and a thin elastic covered in matching cotton fabric goes around your head.
By the way – they’re not just perfect for sleeping a bit longer in the summer but also for travelling on trains or planes, taking afternoon naps or relaxing at the spa!
The pattern placement might vary, that means that your sleep mask might show a different part of the fabric being used.
The should fit small, medium and large heads but if you need something extra small or extra large, just shoot me a message + I’ll make it work.
Why wear a sleep mask?

When you’re able to sleep in darkness, your body can produce melatonin more effectively, allowing you to fall asleep faster and have a deeper, more restful sleep. This can improve the quality of your sleep, making you feel more refreshed and energized when you wake up.
So, in simple terms, wearing a sleep mask helps block out light, promotes the production of sleep hormone, and allows you to have a better and more restful sleep.
